Unlock MTN Fastlink Modem (Huawei MTN Fastlink and ZTE MTN Fastlink)

You will have to unlock your MTN modem for you to be able to use another SIM card of another network with it. The type of MTN Fastlink modem you are using will determine how it will be unlocked. As at the time of publishing this post, your MTN Fastlink modem will either be Huawei MTN Fastlink or ZTE MTN Fastlink.

If it is Huawei MTN Fastlink, i.e manufactured by Huawei, I can unlock it for you online by generating the unlock code for you, using the imei number of your MTN Fastlink Modem.

Once I send you the unlock code, all you will have to do is to insert another SIM card of another network into the modem. Once plugged in, you will see a small window asking you for the unlock code. Once you enter the unlock code you received from me, the MTN Fastlink will be unlocked. Once unlocked, you will see the network bars of the network of the SIM inserted displayed on the dashboard of the modem. Colour or the logo of the MTN Fastlink dashboard will not change.

The next thing you will have to do after unlocking your MTN modem, is to create MTN Fastlink modem settings for the new network you want to use. Once you create the new profile, you can get connected to the internet once you subscribe to the network's data plans.

If you dont know how to get the imei number of your MTN FastLink modem, go to Tools ==> Diagnostics. You will see it there.

If it is ZTE MTN Fastlink, I will not be able to generate the unlock code for you. You will have to unlock it directly using an Unlocker that directly unlocks MTN Fastlink.  To use the software, you will have to plug the ZTE MTN Fastlink to the computer, on which you have the software. Once you launch the software, the software will detect the MTN modem and you can get the MTN fastlink unlocked on a click of a button.

If you want to know if your MTN fastlink is manufactured by huawei or ZTE, just look at the body of the modem. It will be written on it.
