Nothing can stop APC's registration --Akande

The All Progressives Congress on Tuesday in Abuja
declared that nothing would stop its registration as a
political party.
The APC National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, stated
this when officials of the Independent National
Electoral Commission led by its Director of Political
Party Monitoring and Liaison, Shittu Ibrahim, visited
the party's secretariat.
Akande said, "We have always been confident that no
power under the sun will stop us from becoming a
political party. From the beginning of this merger, we
have gone to various conventions, we have made joint
applications and we have been exchanging
correspondence with INEC, but they have never visited
us before.
"Today, INEC officials are in our home, and they are
happy we have got a home. The commission has never
faulted what we did right from when we wrote the first
joint application, and we have completed the merger
phase of the exercise.
"INEC now needs administrative investigation to show
that what we have done was according to their laid
down procedures. Today, they came for verification and
we have proved to them that we exist like gentlemen
and in a befitting accommodation."
